How's everybody doing? Besides my sporadic con updates, I haven't been active much on here- just working on a year and half long thesis project- which has been wrapped up finally!
I graduated a couple weeks ago! Now I am running around to a couple more conventions (I'll be going to Fanime!!), going home, getting my last wisdom tooth out, before setting out on my most ambitious move next- driving from the East to West Coast. Wish me luck! I'll be starting a job at Cartoon Network as a story revisionist. I'm am very excited and nervous too (again) - to see old faces and new ones!
Speaking of old faces, Ringling was a great safety net, and I loved our small tight community of 40 or so computer animation students- it was an invaluable experience, and after a week or so after graduation, I'm finally beginning to feel the fear that I won't see my friends as regularly or easily as I used to. No more casual dinners at each others' dorms, movie nights, and of course- being lab mates from 9am to 2am. Not only because we're dispersing all of the country to pursue jobs, but after making my decision to go into non-CG stuff, I realize I won't be going into the same fields. Never the less, I am so proud of my friends for going out there and winning at life haha. I can't wait to see where everybody else ends up in a few years
Same goes to some of those who've gotten to know through here- it's amazing to see where our lives, hard work and dreams take us! Good luck to everyone!
